YOGA:
Yoga allows the creative process of the human spirit to open within each student.
Through conscious movement of breath and body,
the yogi engages in the process
of unraveling the ego, or individual self,
and connecting with the divine, or supreme self.
PRANA:
Prana is a Sanskrit term for "life-force of creation" or "vital energy."
Through cultivating the practice of yoga,
the currents of Prana flow and the yogi experiences
greater life in a multitude of ways.
CLASSES:
Classes with Courtney interweave Iyengar with flow, Vinyasa with dance, philosophy with life, and the natural elements with the human form. The practice is organic and very dynamic. Physical demands and rhythm vary according to the class that congregates. Sequences of postures also shift, so that practice is continually evolving. With a background in Massage Therapy and Shiatsu, Courtney is attuned to injury-prevention, rehabilitation, and energetic alignment. Gentle adjustments in yoga can be powerful transformations in practice, and are a gift of practicing with her.
